Search 40 declassified CIA Reading Room documents, pick up to three, and build a graph of who and what they connect — every link opens the exact sentence it came from.

Add source documents

Turn documents into searchable evidence

Add one source or a batch. Text extraction and OCR run locally; every file gets its own success or failure result, and private sources and graphs remain operator-only.

Ready for private local extraction.
New research collection

Start a durable research thread

A collection organizes source references. Deleting it never deletes the underlying documents or completed graphs.

Sources can be added after creation or during upload.
Question → evidence → focused graph

Ask this research collection

CREST ranks exact collection passages without a model call. Review them first, then authorize one traced evidence brief with the stated ceiling.

The brief will preserve support, contradiction, and uncertainty with source citations.

About CREST

From a source search to an evidence graph

This is an active research workbench. Search tracked CIA records and private uploads, ask an evidence-grounded question over a collection, inspect cited passages, then hand cited sources into the traced graph extraction pipeline.

Uploads use native PDF text when available and local Tesseract OCR for scans. Private documents and graphs require a tailnet identity or operator token. The live CIA connector remains explicit when official endpoints deny or redirect acquisition.

The five-document graph is a labeled example checkpoint, not a claim of corpus coverage.
